Pleasant Valley Pottery offers products with a unique combination of antique designs on modern forms. Inspiration is derived from both prehistoric and historic artifacts recovered from archaeological sites across the U.S. but especially those located in Michigan. A variety of items are handcrafted including mugs, vases, bottles, platters, bowls, planters, and Christmas ornaments just to name just a few. Check out the product gallery on the Pleasant Valley Pottery website for samples of our latest creations. Only lead free glazes are used. Our high fired products are dishwasher and microwave safe.
Michigan based Pleasant Valley Pottery is owned and operated by Tim Bennett. He has been working with clay for most of his life with the last 25 years dedicated to wheel thrown pottery. He has studied ceramics techniques at the Flint Institute of Arts and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts for nearly three decades. His interest in recreating antique forms and patterns originated from assisting in excavation on a variety of prehistoric and historic sites in the Midwest over the past thirty years. He has spent the last fifteen years excavating the historic Warner farm, the homestead started by his great, great, great grandfather Timothy Warner in 1841.
